Swiss Point Cheer

Head Coach Teal Shera Carr

I am very excited to be coaching cheer again at Swiss this year! This will be my 7th year as a cheer coach and 3rd year as a coach with SJMSAA. In 2022-23 I re-started the cheer program at Murray Middle School as their head coach and was amazed at what the cheer team accomplished! In my first year coaching at Swiss, I was so proud of the progress the entire team made which included Large Division Champions at SJMSAA camp for our sideline team. Our competition team finished 1st place in all of the local competitions we competed in plus were UCA Florida Regionals Champions & finished 6th place in the nation in the Large Jr High Division at UCA Nationals!
Prior to coaching with SJMSAA, I coached at a middle school while I attended college at the University of Florida (Go Gators!) where we won State and Nationals. I also coached a Pop Warner team when I resided in North Carolina. I was a cheerleader in middle and high school and have also been involved in the all star cheer world as a team mom when my youngest daughter cheered. I am happily married and have two daughters
both of who are involved in cheer. I grew up in Mandarin and moved back to the Jacksonville area a few years ago after living in South Carolina, Massachusetts and North Carolina due to my husband's service in the military. We are now happy to call St. Johns County our permanent home! I have always tried to have a well-bonded team and bring a "team mindset" to any team that I coach as I feel that is a recipe for a successful and fun season! I am also looking forward to continuing traditions at Swiss and bringing my love for cheer to the athletes!

Assist. Coach Teal Blair Stone

Blair Stone, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, and a proud graduate of the University of Georgia, brings a wealth of cheerleading experience to the Swiss Point community. Having called the Jacksonville area home for over 17 years, Blair's journey in cheerleading began in middle school, where her passion for the sport ignited. Her dedication and talent propelled her to six years of competitive cheerleading, adorned with a state championship ring as a memorable milestone.
Now, as a coach, Blair shares her expertise and love for cheer with aspiring athletes. With a coaching tenure spanning several years, she is currently entering her second season with Swiss Point and looks forward to continuing a legacy of excellence.

Off the mat, Blair finds joy in her role as a wife and mother of two daughters, both of whom have inherited her
passion for cheerleading.
