
SJMSAA Cheers offers a fall and spring season for rising 6th, 7th and 8th grade middle school residents. Cheer teams participate in sideline cheer events as well as competitions. Cheer team registration generally opens Feb/March, with tryouts occurring in April/May. Practices and events vary per team and there is a Cheer camp held in Spring or Summer. Cheer teams resume cheer events at football games during the Fall season starting in August and each follow their own competitive event schedule that takes them into the following year.
Typical Season Dates:
Spring: Tryouts/Practices March/April through May and a specific summer schedule
Fall: Sideline cheering resumes in August for football. Practice and competition cheer varies by team
How do I sign-up?
All seasons require a non-refundable $25 tryout fee. You can select the Register button, choose your school or the school you would be zoned for, and begin creating a member profile.
Once tryouts have occurred, athletes who are selected for a team will receive an email notification that includes a link to pay the full season registration fee.
Registration fees generally include: cheer camp, cost of insurance, county fees per player, operational fees.
