Trout Creek Academy Cheer
Head Coach: Samatha Taft
A Florida native and lifelong sports enthusiast, I bring over five years of experience coaching youth cheerleading with a passion for building strong, confident athletes. At 34 years young, I’ve spent countless hours on the football field—not only coaching but also supporting my son, who has always played the game, my daughter who cheers and my husband, a Defensive Coordinator for a local high school.
In addition to coaching cheer, I am the Head Coach of the TCA Girls Flag Football team, where I encourage young athletes to embrace competition, teamwork, and resilience. Whether on the sidelines or the field, my goal is to create a culture of support, hard work, and confidence.
Cheerleading isn’t just about stunts and sidelines; it’s about growing together, lifting each other up, and building a foundation of strength that extends beyond the sport. I believe in fostering a team environment where athletes support one another, push past limits, and develop the confidence to take on challenges both on and off the field. My mission is to create a positive, high-energy space where every cheerleader feels valued, empowered, and ready to succeed—not just in cheer, but in life.

Assistant Coach Angela Hill
I am thrilled to be the assistant coach for Trout Creek Cheer for a second season. I was
lucky to be the assistant coach for the “OG” Trout Creek Cheer team last season. Prior
to that, I coached two seasons with the Creeks Outlaws. I cheered in middle school and
high school, including All-Stars and All-American. I enjoy coaching my daughter and
witnessing the growth of all the athletes each season. My goal is for the girls to have
fun, realize their strengths and abilities, and learn how to showcase their skills.
