Liberty Pines Cheer
Head Coach Nina Smith
Hello cheer community, My name is Nina Smith! I was born and raised in Jacksonville, with a brief period of living in Georgia. I am a full-time mommy to my 16-month-old baby boy, and a student at the Florida state college at Jacksonville. I decided to try Allstar cheer after ending my 12-year gymnastics career. It was honestly the best decision of my life. Now I am a "two time" summit finalist, placed top three at NCA, and a UCA Champion! I was junior coaching also while I was competing on these teams and LOVED it! Working with athletes from the elementary to middle school ages. I also cheered for my 8th, 10th, and 12th grade school teams and had a blast working on the sideline, with my Senior year being at Creekside High School! Cheerleading was by far the best decision I ever made. Not just because of the titles you can receive, but the bonds you make with coaches and teammates. I love cheerleading with my whole heart and want to share that in my coaching career. This will be my second year with LPA, and I am so excited to grow with this program! GO WOLVES!
Hello, my name is Tonya Broughton, and I was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. I currently live in St. Johns County with my husband Justin. I have four children and one very sweet grandson. I am a Licensed Esthetician and love all things beauty! My love for cheer began at the age of 7 years old and continued into High School. I not only cheered but was a part of my high school dance team. I also cheered Semi-Professionally for the USBL Jacksonville Hooters Basketball Team. After High School I joined the workforce and put aside my pom poms to raise my children. I started coaching my oldest daughter in 2007 with Pop Warner Association and judged numerous high school cheer tryouts and small competitions. This will be my 2nd season coaching with the Liberty Pines Wolves and I am so excited for another successful season with the most amazing athletes around! Cheers!
